GreenWorx
is the first fixture-level lighting control system that uses
a building’s existing power wiring for two-way communication
that is simple to install, requiring "No New Wires", making
it perfect for retrofit applications.
The
GreenWorx Concept:
Why Add Wires?
You already have electrical wires providing power to each
light fixture — why go through the expense
and hassle to add even more wires for lighting control?
With GreenWorx you don't have to!
GreenWorx uses the same power wires that already exist to
send control signals to each light fixture. Simply install
Fixture Control Modules in each light fixture and the System
Controller at the circuit breaker panel and you’re ready
to go. Add keypads and photo-sensors to the system just as
easily – just hook them to the existing power wires."
Light Sensing
The GreenWorx Lighting Control System works
by utilizing a small transmitting device that is connected
to a photo sensor that reports
whenever light-level trip points occur — these reports
are transmitted to the System Controller over the existing
powerwires.
System Controller
The System
Controller, which
is wired at the circuit breaker panel, receives these reports
and transmits commands to control the lighting — these
commands go out onto all phases of the power wiring, to the receiving
devices.
Fixture Control Modules
Small receiving
devices,
which are wired into each lighting fixture, receive the commands
from the System Controller and automatically change their fixture's
light level accordingly — each fixture is contolled independently.
